I guess the idea is to make them blend into the chrome trim, because most luxury cars have those dumb flush motorized ones, but, still, this looks stupid and I hate it.

What door handles?

I'm more annoyed that I can never unsee the Taurus no matter how much I would like to.

Wait, that’s pretty cool actually. Would be better if they took it a step further and gave it poppers from the factory.

I honestly can’t decide if that’s terrible or refreshing. Maybe if I saw them in real life. Alas, since they won’t actually sell more than 50 of them, I’ll never know.

Hello there

Go home, Ford Motor Company; you’re drunk. The Continental and Taurus are not supposed to be the same car.

I like them. Especially on the coach door Conti

They look worse in real life, since you’re looking down at them as opposed to straight on in a photo.

How do you feel about the Toyota 4Runner’s window switch placement?

Same, they are cool and yes I’ve seen them IRL.

I feel like they’d get full of snow

GIS agrees with you.
I think I know what happened. Even from above, the coach door version, with handles abutting looks good, but on their own, they look like little wings.

I like it but don’t like that it’s the only redeeming feature on the bloated and generic exterior proportions.

Finally catering to tall people.

It’s because their target customer is 70 yrs old. O nce you get that age your back doesn’t work any more, and you can’t bend down to reach lower door handles.

Inspired by:
which I believe was initially intended to be a Lincoln.

They w ere much better executed on the concept.
In fact the whole concept was better executed.
The production version looks like they dressed a Taurus as the concept.

Personally, I prefer the 1998-2002 Town Car’s door handles, seemingly taken off of a 1950s refrigerator.
